Davis has a well-built frame with good muscle development throughout. He learns and retains football well. Shows a smooth backpedal with above average foot quickness and body control, plants and breaks on the ball sharply and shows an explosive closing burst.
Davis has excellent open field acceleration and can easily turn and run with the receivers on deep routes. He drops back into his zone assignment with awareness and stalks the receivers tight on underneath routes, has good timing and leaping ability competing for the ball and takes proper angles in pursuit.
He has very dependable hands for the interception, has good wrap-up tackling technique and the strength needed to fill rush lanes and is a drag-down type of tackler who will deliver his hits with force.
