| Has the intangibles and skill sets to be a very good player at the college level. He will thrive in a system that focuses their OL play on finesse (not to say he isn't a worrier in the trenches as he is a good run blocker). He has tremendous feet and thrives when he is able to get into space whether it is in pass sets or on reach and screen blocks. Is very aggressive and plays with a high motor. Must lower pad level to fix balance issues. |
| Biography: |
| Joel Gray earned All-District honors as a sophomore and a junior and was also recognized as second team All-State after a strong 2007 season. He says he can bench 300-pounds and squat 415. Gray helped lead his team (11-3) to the fourth round of the 5A state playoffs.
Gray reports a 3.5 core GPA and a 1580 SAT. Gray says he wants to major in exercise science and minor in education. "I'd like to coach or be a physical trainer."
Gray: "My biggest attribute is my footwork. My leadership is also great. I'm pretty quick for my size too. I play pissed off. My main goal is to put people on their butt.
"I definitely want to get stronger -especially my legs. Strength and speed are two things you can never have enough of."
