| Spano has a strong arm and is very accurate. He can throw with velocity over the middle or on the deep out. Spano is also accurate with the long ball and can drop it in there in stride with great touch. He shows good pocket awareness and is willing to hang in there a little longer to wait for his receiver to get open. Spano is not afraid to take a hit and shows good poise for the position. He can be an effective runner at times. |

| As a junior, Spano threw for 2,882 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also ran for 462 yards and ten touchdowns earning All-District and Big Country Newcomer of the year honors.
