Ivan Robinson, a 6-foot-3, 256-pound lineman from South Beauregard High School, was one of these three verbal pledges although he has consistently expressed a desire to take additional school visits. With seniors Michael Shumard and Lee Grimes graduating, next year's left tackle position is wide open and will likely see a red-shirt or true freshman start.Unlike his twin brother Matt, Luke has the opportunity to start next year. The 6-6, 295 pound offensive tackle took his official visit to A&M over the weekend and had the chance to talk to the A&M coaches about his potential role next year.   Full Story

The Texas A&M coaching staff has a rare situation on their hands come this January when four mid-term students enroll early. Three out of the four commits coming in are quarterbacks. Jameill Showers, Matt Joeckel, and Clay Honeycutt will begin their careers in Aggieland battling for a backup spot behind Jerrod Johnson. There hasn’t been a lot of drama in this recruiting season for head coach Mike Sherman. The Aggies landed a majority of its class last spring and have spent the past 6-7 months putting the finishing touches on one of the program’s deepest classes in years. Franklin (LA) defensive end Gavin Stansbury was somewhat of an unknown when he committed to Texas A&M in early April. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound defender became the 13th commit in A&M’s 2010 class and this weekend he will be making a trip back to College Station. Gavin will join most of next year’s pledges in College Station on Friday and he is excited to start bonding with his future teammates.   Full Story
