West region No. 1 seed UConn opened up an 18-point halftime lead and cruised to a 92-66 win over Texas A&M in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia. A.J. Price scored 27 points and Jeff Adrien added 23 to lead the Huskies. A successful Aggie season ends after becoming one of just three teams to have won a postseason game in each of the last five years.   Full Story

Bryan Davis (left) scored 21 points and pulled down 9 rebounds to lead Texas A&M to a dominating 79-66 win over BYU in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Thursday in Philadelphia. Five Aggies scored in double figures, as A&M opened up a 12-point halftime lead and never looked back. A&M now heads to the second round of the NCAA tournament for the fourth consecutive year.   Full Story

Texas A&M (23-9) makes their fourth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament, the second under head coach Mark Turgeon (left). The Aggies were selected as the No. 9 seed in the West region and will travel to Philadelphia to face No. 8 seed BYU on Thursday. Mike Singletary (left) scored 43 point, including an amazing 29 straight, to lead Texas Tech back from 21 points down, to 88-83 upset win over Texas A&M on Wednesday night in the opening round of the Big 12 Tournament in Oklahoma City. Texas A&M blew out to a 51-29 halftime lead over No. 12 Missouri and held off a late Tiger rally to win its sixth game in a row and likely lock up an invite to the NCAA tourney. Bryan Davis had a double-double, pulling down 10 rebounds to go with 12 points and two blocked shots, to lead the Aggies. Donald Sloan scored 16 points, and Josh Carter and B.J. Texas A&M came back from 8 points down at the half to pull out their fifth game in a row in a harder than expected 72-66 Big 12 road win over Colorado on Wednesday night. Texas A&M's NCAA tourney hopes took a major hit on Saturday afternoon when edged at home 65-60 by the Kansas State Wildcats. Kansas State came into Reed Arena with a four-game winning streak. Kansas State had three players in double figures, led by guards Jacob Pullen with 16 points and Denis Clemente with 14 points.   Full Story
