Here are Team Websider’s fearless predictions for the Baylor game. There’s a lot at stake for the Aggies. First, A&M becomes bowl eligible with a win. Second, A&M needs to stop the current two game skid and extend the 25 year win streak against the Bears in College Station. So what does TeamWebsider think about the game?

My head will explode if I try to break this game down on tendencies or match ups. There is no rhyme or reason on what to expect from the Aggies. I just think the Aggies are better than Baylor and should win the game.

I see the Aggies playing a very sloppy game, but with some heart and the 12th Man behind them, they will win in the 4th quarter in the wake of two terrible losses. The front four will put pressure on Baylor’s rookie quarterback, but will have its issues against the run.
Jerrod Johnson
needs to find his comfort zone (in the pocket) to have a huge game.

This is a game of match-ups and I like the Aggies at every skill position. I have a few concerns and that is 1) will A&M catch a punt? 2) How long until
Lee Grimes
goes down and Baker has to come in? 3) Can A&M protect the ball and minimize turnovers? If A&M can do those three things then I feel very confident the players will execute the game plan. I expect to see
Von Miller
getting back in form and the receivers should be productive against a suspect BU secondary. I like the Aggies by two touchdowns.

The turnover is the only thing that can derail the Aggies on Saturday. We hear so much about A&M’s struggles at OL, but Baylor only averages 102 rushing yards a game and they’ve given up more sacks (24) than the A&M line. On the defensive side, Baylor front line gives up more rushing yards (167) than A&M’s defense and they’ve collected only 14 sacks compared to 31 for the Aggies. If A&M plays a turnover-free game, Baylor’s defense won’t stop the Aggies’ superior skill players on offense, and BU QB Nick Florence has shown that he’ll get flustered and throw interceptions if pressured…and A&M will get pressure. The Aggies will be bowl eligible after this game.
