Here are Team Websider’s fearless predictions for the Iowa State game. After the thumping this young team took against Kansas State last week, the troops played an inspired game in Lubbock and manhandled the heavily-favored Red Raiders. We’ll see if this team can build on this success and surge toward bowl eligibility, or whether they are still on a roller coaster ride in 2009.

A&M is still a growing team, but one thing that I liked before last week’s game was the guys getting in each other’s face and holding each other accountable. I think that will come in HUGE for this game as they will remind each other how KSU just slapped them around, and ISU is a similar physical team. ISU has struggled on offense and will miss their center Stephens that had surgery this week. A&M will play more downhill and stay close to the box and shut down ISU. I think it is hard to stop A&M's offense when they get decent OL play. Eike and Lewis came up big last Saturday. Both played well in Lubbock. That will be a big advantage this week and I think A&M will have some longer drives that’s established by the run. A&M rolls with another 450+ yard offensive performance

Both teams come into this game with a lot of momentum, but have been up and down to this point in the season. I think this is a battle into the fourth quarter, but the Aggies will begin to blow it open somewhat similar to their performance against Texas Tech.

I really can't see this Aggie team not showing up or overlooking another Big 12 opponent after the KSU debacle. We saw last week what happens when the Aggies establish the run and the up-tempo offense gets rolling, big numbers ensue. ISU does have one of the best offensive lines in the Big 12 so getting pressure on the QB is very important. The Cyclone offense can be potent when Arnaud is leading the troops, but I think Von Miller & Co. will be too much for the ISU offense. I see this game being Jeff Fuller's return to dominance and I'm going to go out on a limb and say Jeff has two touchdown catches on Saturday. A&M rolls convincingly at Kyle Field against the Cyclones.

I think this game will be closer than some Aggies think. Arnaud is back at quarterback and Robinson is penciled in at running back. KSU proved that the A&M defense is vulnerable to the power running game. However, the Cyclones caught a bad break when arguably their best offensive lineman had emergency appendectomy surgery on Wednesday. Still, it will be a challenge for A&M to stop Arnaud and the Cyclone run game. He’ll also use his feet to slow down the Aggie pass rush and that will open up some opportunities with Arnaud having time in the pocket. So I think ISU will score some points. However, the Cyclones simply can’t match-up with A&M’s skill players on offense, especially against the athletic Uzoma Nwachukwu and the jumbo receiver Jeff Fuller. I also think Christine Michael will break at least one long run over 30 yards and he’ll hit pay dirt a couple of times. In the end, the defense will do just enough to allow the offense to create some separation in the second half. FYI, McCoy had a huge game against ISU last year in Ames. It could happen again.
