The Aggies already have both Joeckels committed for 2010, and would like nothing more than to have Arlington HS best receiver in 2011. Miles Onyegbule recently visited A&M this past weekend and with his visit came an offer to play football for the Ags in 2011. Websider's Taylor Hamm spoke to Miles about his trip and offer from A&M. Read what Miles had to say in the tailgate!
The Aggies already have both Joeckels committed for 2010, and would like nothing more than to have Arlington HS best receiver in 2011.
Miles Onyegbule
recently visited A&M this past weekend and with his visit came an offer to play football for the Ags in 2011.
"When I got to school on Tuesday my coach told me Coach McMillian sent me an offer. I wasn't sure I would get one that quick but I am glad I did and it made me change how I feel about A&M."
Miles drove down with his two best friends and current A&M commits,
Matt Joeckel
and
Luke Joeckel
.
"I love those two guys. They really showed me a good time and introduced me to all the players. I got a chance go talk with all the coaches and they were all great."
Onyegbule and the twins have been best friends since Miles got to Arlington High his freshman year.
"When I first got there my freshman year I was really intimidated by both of them because of how good they were. I also played quarterback so I was like, 'man I gotta get that spot'. Once I saw how good Matt was I realized I probably need to look at receiver. They both took me under their wing like a brother and made me feel comfortable. Since then all three of us stick together and use football to stay out of trouble."
Miles has offers from
Baylor
,
Nebraska
,
Oklahoma State
,
Tulsa
, and A&M. Its no secret that Miles would like a
Texas
or
Oklahoma
offer. The 6'3'' 200 pound receiver likes UT a lot and has been hearing from their coaching staff recently.
"Kinda grew up a longhorn fan. Their coaches have been telling me I should receive an offer by the end of the season."
When asked if A&M would be in his top five Onyegbule had this to say, " Yea after this weekend and them offering me they are definitely in my top 5 and would probably make the cut into the top 3. I could most likely see it being a UT, OU, and A&M battle when it comes down to making a decision."
Miles doesn't have any visits planned yet for October but he does plan on making it to Austin for a game and coming back to College Station for the annual Thanksgiving game between the Ags and Horns.
