With three commitments already in the bag for Texas A&M in the last 24 hours, is Navasota's Brandall Jackson next to pull the trigger? Aggie Websider visits with Jackson about his visit and his timetable on making a decision.

While many college coaching staffs are involved with summer camps at the moment, the Texas A&M coaching staff finished up its first round of camps this week and are focused on several unofficial visits to campus from high level prospects with the Aggies high on their list. The approach has worked so far with the staff already landing three new commitments in the past 24 hours.

Texas A&M welcomed in another unofficial visitor today when Navasota three-star wide receiver Brandall Jackson and his parents made the short 30 minute drive to College Station to discuss his recruitment. Jackson already holds a scholarship offer from the Aggies.

“I came down with my parents. They wanted to see me and talk to me before I went on vacation,” Jackson said. “I wanted to find out more details about their strategy on offense and how I fit into their plans.”

Offensive coordinator Norm Cromwell along with Jackson’s recruiting coach Buddy Wyatt met at length with Jackson along with the other coaches on staff who introduced themselves to the 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver. Jackson liked what he heard.

“They said they want to do it all. They want to be unpredictable and keep defenses guessing,” Jackson said. “They talked about running some empty sets and switching it up. They want to throw it downfield as well. They said they thought I would be a good fit for the offense.”

That message seemed to go over well for Jackson and his family.

“The A&M coaches really spelled it out for me and gave it to me straight,” Jackson said. “The other schools just sent out offers and really didn’t follow up and have the interest that A&M does.”

Going into his visit today, no one school really stood out in his mind and he was open to the schools on his list. However, he admitted that today’s visit pushed the Aggies into the lead, and it’s a race that could end soon.

“I’m heavy on A&M right now,” Jackson said. “I’m going to talk to my family about it tonight. If it still feels right I may have a decision either tomorrow or Friday. The A&M coaches told me to call them if I was ready to commit.”

Jackson said he would let Aggie Websider know as soon as he decides what he plans to do this week. Stay

tuned.
