Previously, in 2005, while still a student at the University of Texas, he founded and served for a year and a half as the host for Texas Sports Weekly, the first podcast covering University of Texas sports.

He was also the host of Around the Horns, a UT-focused sports show on the local ESPN Radio affiliate, and still works as 1530 ESPN Austin's morning producer.
