Acie Law IV posted 26 points for the Aggies in Lexington, KY on Saturday, carrying Texas A&M past Louisville 72-69 in second round NCAA Tournament action from Rupp Arena.

The Aggies had to overcome both an overwhelmingly partisan Louisville crowd and a red-hot Edgar Sosa, who notched 31 points for the Cardinals; but third-seeded Texas A&M (27-6) has now secured a ticket to next week’s Sweet 16, where they will face either Memphis or Nevada.

Law led the Aggies (including a consistent 13-of-15 from the line), but Dominique Kirk solidly contributed with 21 points and six rebounds.

Coming into the game, Louisville was a perfect 4-0 against No. 3 seeds in the NCAA Tournament, while the Aggies are making consecutive NCAA appearances for the first time in school history. Times they are a changin’.
