Series: Texas A&M leads Missouri, 6-2. The Tigers have won the last two games against the Aggies. The teams have split the four games played since the formation of the Big 12. The first meeting between the schools came in 1957, which was John David Crow's Heisman season at Texas A&M. The Aggies won the game, 28-0.
Texas A&M Head Coach Dennis Franchione on Missouri: "Missouri is playing really well in every aspect of their game. Right now, if you had to pick the team to beat in the [Big 12] North, you'd have to pick Missouri."
Missouri Head Coach Gary Pinkel on Texas A&M: "Offensively, they present a lot of problems. They do so many things, and it's kind of surprising that you'd be good at all things you do. Most coaches would not do as many things as they do on offense because it's very difficult. But, you know, Coach Fran does it."
Torrid Tigers: Missouri is 6-0 for the first time since 1973. The Tigers haven't trailed in a game this season. Last week they converted five Texas Tech turnovers into 28 points in a 38-21 victory on the road in Lubbock. The No. 19 Tigers are off to their best start in 33 years.
J Train Leading the Nation: Aggie sophomore running back Jorvorskie Lane is currently leading the NCAA in touchdowns with a total of 13 on the season. The 274-pound big man is averaging 13.0 points per game.
McGee takes Big 12 Honors: Texas A&M sophomore quarterback Stephen McGee earned the first Big 12 Player of the Week award of his career on Oct. 9 after leading a pair of 80-yard, fourth-quarter scoring drives in the Aggies' 21-18 win over Kansas. He led A&M on a 12-play drive in the closing minutes by converting three third down passes including a 35-yard strike to set up the game winning touchdown with 0:34 left. McGee completed 25-of-45 attempts, with no interceptions, for 240 yards on the day.
Missouri defensive end Xzavie Jackson on the attack: "We're still going to attack. "We're gonna try to get 11 hats to the ball. We're going to try to have a track meet out here and try to run all over the field. Texas A&M has got a lot of speed with the option. We're just going to go out here and attack, attack, attack, and hopefully prevail at the end.".
The Chase is on: QB Chase Daniel is completing better than 64 percent of his passes and has thrown for 14 touchdowns.
