Series: Texas Tech leads the series, 59-50, including a 33-14 record in games played in Lubbock and a 3-2 mark at United Spirit Arena. The Red Raiders have won three straight since a 64-59 A&M win in College Station in 2003, and have won three straight in Lubbock since a 72-70 Aggie victory in 2001.

Legendary: Texas Tech head coach Coach Bob Knight will coach his 1,168 game in tonight’s match-up against Texas A&M. Knight has 841 career victories over 39 seasons.

Texas A&M Head Coach Billy Gillispie: "We thought that if we played the right way, we'd have a chance to get some success early, but we thought what would determine how we do this season would be how we handle good times and the bad times. We have had bad times in practice and a bad time at Kansas. And we have plenty of bad times coming our way. We know that. But how will we handle it?"

A&M junior Antoine Wright on the Aggies’ upset over No. 9 Texas: "We're pretty much over the big win now. Coach has done a good job of putting us back down where we're supposed to be."

Re-writing History: Gillispie’s 12-1 start is the best by a first-year coach in school history. Saturday’s Texas A&M game versus Texas in the Aggies’ Reed Arena was played before 12,811 fans, the largest hoops crowd in school history. The Aggies have won 11 in a row at home, their longest streak since 1978-81.

Lucky Number Eleven?: The Red Raiders have five players averaging 11.7 points or better, the only Big 12 team to have five at 11.0 points or higher. Tech has shot 40% or better in 11 of 13 contests.
