Turner-less Ags fall to Arkansas 73-62

The loss was the fourth in five games for Texas A&M (17-14, 7-11), which played without leading scorer Elston Turner because of a hand injury. Without Turner, A&M fell behind quickly by as many as 16 points midway through the first half, but with several nice assists by Alex Caruso and outside shots by Fabyon Harris the Aggies cut the lead to single digits.

In the second half, the Aggies continued to trim the lead and cut it to three points before Arkansas extended the lead back out to eight points.

The Razorbacks (19-12, 10-8) also secured their first overall winning mark in the SEC in five years, the last time the school reached the NCAA tournament. Arkansas closed out the regular season 18-1 at home, with its only loss coming to then-No. 6 Syracuse on Nov. 30.

Harris led the Aggies with 16 points while little-used Jordan Green added 1 points when pressed into action with Turner's injury.
