Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel of Texas A&M accounted for 75
touchdowns in high school... as a senior.
His accolades and talent helped him get selected for a national all-star game
called the NUC All-World Classic. The game was broadcast on FOX College Sports,
and I had the privilege of working the game and seeing Manziel in action all
week.
The nation has gotten a good look at Johnny Football, and it was evident two
years ago that Manziel wasn't merely a system quarterback who put up gaudy
numbers, but that he was a talented playmaker.
Coincidentally, the quarterback that Manziel beat out to earn the lion's share
of the reps during the game? Oregon standout Marcus Mariota. MVP of the game?
Michael Eubank who plays quarterback at Arizona State.
Here is a look back at Manziel from the NUC All-World Classic broadcast on FOX
College Sports on 12/31/10.
